Clyde Jacob Receives Invitation to Serve on Labor Relations Committee

Clyde Jacob has received and accepted an invitation to serve on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Labor Relations Committee for the 2011-2012 year.

The Labor Relations Committee is the primary policy-making body of the U.S. Chamber for labor and employment issues. The business community struggles continually with these issues which include, but are not limited to: immigration, wage and hour regulation, safety and health, labor-management relations and union pressure campaigns, discrimination and equal employment opportunity, and the influence of foreign labor standards on U.S. and multinational employers. Committee members' help and advice is used to develop and promote sound policy in these areas. Congress, the Administration and various organizations (e.g., organized labor) frequently initiate actions or programs that require thoughtful and effective responses from the business community. Through committee members' input and advice, the Chamber continues to provide leadership and take effective action on these matters.
