Houston, TX (January 1, 2007) – Coats Rose is pleased to announce the election of Ms. Antoinette M. Jackson and Ms. Stacy Yates as directors to the Firm.
Toni Jackson is a member of the Affordable Housing and Governmental Relations sections of the firm and specializes in the areas of affordable housing financing and community development law. Her client representation includes for profit and non-profit developers and housing authorities throughout Texas and Louisiana.
Toni also works with non-profit organizations in the development of affordable elderly housing and has been an advocate of affordable housing and homeownership, serving on several community tasks forces, including the boards of Houston Habitat for Humanity and Texas Interfaith Housing Corporation. She also frequently serves as a speaker and guest lecturer in the areas of affordable housing and community development law.
Stacy Yates is a member of the Litigation section of the firm. Her practice focuses on environmental regulatory matters and toxic tort defense, as well as counseling on insurance coverage matters and litigating such cases. She has served with James M. Riley, Jr. since 2000 as National Coordinating Counsel for a chemical manufacturing company and has played an integral role in two landmark benzene cases resulting in take-nothing judgments.
Stacy's work also includes Texas wrongful death, asbestos, and silica litigation. She has used her considerable experience in government to assist clients in groundwater contamination matters, water rights disputes and Super Fund matters.
