Bill is a Director, a member of the Executive Committee and the head of the 25-member Construction/Surety Section of Coats Rose. He brings many years of experience to bear for his clients, in all aspects of construction law. Bill is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers. He has been rated AV by Martindale Hubbell, "Leading Individual" and "Leading Firm" by Chambers USA, and Construction "Super Lawyer".

He has served as Chairman of the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section, and as the first Chairman of the Houston Bar Association Construction Law Section. Bill is also a member of the American Bar Association Forum Committee on the Construction Industry, the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practice Section, and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He is also a frequent lecturer and author or construction law topics.

Practice Emphasis
Bill is a construction lawyer, with extensive experience representing owners, general contractors, and other parties in the petrochemical, power and building design and construction businesses. He has litigated and arbitrated matters both domestically in many states and internationally. He has also worked extensively on the transactional side of the construction practice, negotiating contracts and helping to position his clients strategically to prevent and to resolve problems on construction projects.
