Ed is an Of Counsel with Coats Rose. Before joining the firm in 2000, he managed his own six-lawyer litigation firm for five years, after having worked at the Houston firms of Bracewell & Patterson and McFall, Sherwood & Sheehy.
He has appeared and tried cases in state and federal courts, and before arbitration panels, in twelve states over the last twenty-three years. He has provided litigation management for regional and national clients over large multi-case dockets, and over complex, multi-jurisdiction litigation spanning courts in the United States and Europe. As part of Ed’s work, he served on a national steering committee of defense lawyers in major mass products-liability litigation. He is also a qualified mediator.
Ed practices in the areas of commercial, construction, and product-liability litigation, with an emphasis on management of complex litigation and coordination of multi-case dockets for clients.
