Byron is a Director in the Litigation section of Coats Rose, with thirty years of experience in the practice of law. His board certification in two litigation specialties reflects his broad-based expertise. Byron has been the first chair attorney in more than 50 jury trials and has handled more than 18 appeals.
Byron is Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Law with the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has tried lawsuits involving insurance recovery, contract disputes, construction defects, personal injury, employment disputes, negligence, trade secrets, injunctions, environmental claims, administrative law claims, Lanham Act, defamation, tortious interference with business relationships, RICO, fraud, products liability, breach of fiduciary duty, Texas Deceptive Trade Practices claims and professional malpractice claims. Byron handles litigation in both state and federal courts.
Byron also handles arbitrations and is a trained mediator.
