Maria is a Director in the Public Finance section with more than fifteen years of experience. She joined Coats Rose in 1991 and serves as general counsel and bond counsel for municipal utility districts and non-profit water supply corporations.
Maria represents municipal utility districts in various phases of development, including creation, development and post-development. Maria has particular expertise in the areas of contract negotiations with governmental entities, open records and open meeting issues, ad valorem taxation, and tax-exempt financing by governmental agencies.
