Jerry is Director with Coats Rose, and brings a unique and diverse perspective to the Firm and the representation of its clients. While completing his law degree at the South Texas College of Law, he served as an editor for the Law Review and, as a Garland Walker Scholarship Recipient for Excellence in Oral Advocacy, Jerry won the American Bar Association National Moot Court Competition. He has twice has been appointed as a Special Master in complex commercial class actions involving insurance disputes. In 2008 and 2009 Jerry has been recognized as a “Texas Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine. He was also recognized as a Rising Star/Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Jerry’s election to The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), his board certification in Personal Injury Trial Law and AV rating by Martindale-Hubble reflects his strong commitment to the representation of his clients and the Civil Justice system.
Jerry loves to play golf and still tries to play lacrosse, but his passion is spending time with his daughters, Victoria and Grace.
Jerry represents individuals and corporations in matters involving contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, professional malpractice, tortious interference, negligence, products liability, general maritime and Jones Act, and environmental torts. He has also tried numerous matters to resolution through arbitration.
