HOUSTON, April 15, 2014 – Sam Johnson is a new associate with Coats Rose in the area of Public Finance Law. Sam works with special-purpose districts, such as municipal utility districts, water control and improvement districts, fresh water supply districts, levee improvement districts, road utility districts, public improvement districts, water supply corporations and tax-increment reinvestment zones. He will represent clients before administrative agencies such as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and the Texas Water Development Board.
Sam was a Senior Article Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law at the University of Houston Law Center and a civil procedure teaching assistant for the Associate Dean, Lonny Hoffman. He received his J.D. from the UH Law Center in 2013. Johnson received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
