HOUSTON – February 5, 2019 – Coats Rose, P.C., a transactional and litigation law firm focused on development, announces the promotions of three lawyers, two to director and one to of counsel, from the firm’s Houston and Dallas offices. Molly Durbin and Andrea Hope J. Steel have been elected as directors, and S. Shannon Davis Hunter has been elected of counsel. This is the largest attorney class promotion for the firm in four years.

Durbin, a member of the real estate and business practice groups in Dallas, represents clients in the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of real property, entity formations and governance documentation, acquisitions, dispositions, and other contract negotiations. Durbin also represents landlords and tenants in lease preparation and negotiations.
Steel, a member of the Affordable Housing and Community Development practice in Houston, represents public housing authorities and both for-profit and non-profit developers primarily in affordable housing developments utilizing The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (“HUD”) Rental Assistance Demonstration program, the Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax Credit Assistance Program and the Exchange program.
Hunter, a member of the Affordable Housing and Community Development practice group in Houston, represents public housing authorities, housing developers (both for- and non-profit), syndicators, and investors with leveraging various products, including HOPE VI funds, low-income housing tax credits, private activity tax-exempt bonds, investment syndications and conventional loans, to finance their projects.
