NEW ORLEANS – August 30, 2019 – Coats Rose, P.C., a leading business transaction and litigation law firm, is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Haecker Ryan has been elected to serve as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Commercial Transportation Litigation General Committee, for the 2019-2020 term. The committee is housed under the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
Ryan is a director in the commercial litigation section of the New Orleans office. Her practice focus is general civil litigation, with a concentration in construction, environmental, insurance defense and coverage, admiralty and pharmaceutical and medical device law. Elizabeth has litigated matters involving toxic tort, class action, maritime personal injury and property damages; personal property damage arising out of fire, products liability, pharmaceuticals, interstate transportation of hazardous substances; and the sale by maritime transporters, and truck and auto litigation. Ryan also serves as a mediator and an umpire in insurance appraisal matters and is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
